In recent days, municipal teams have stepped up field work, including levelling and cleaning beach sand, maintaining surrounding facilities and reinforcing cleaning and environmental monitoring services in high-traffic areas. These proactive measures are designed to meet the expected increase in daily beach activity.

Commitment to safety and quality

Mubarak Rashid Al Shamsi, Director of Al Hamriyah Municipality, stated that all available resources, personnel and specialised equipment have been deployed to upgrade beach services. Preparations also included the beach park, rubberised walkway and all related service facilities, ensuring an integrated experience combining safety, comfort and quality.

He added that the municipality has implemented organisational measures to ensure smooth visitor movement and ease of access to facilities, supported by a flexible operational system that responds to daily needs during the holiday, including facility management, safety monitoring and emergency response.

Comprehensive marine rescue system

Al Shamsi stressed the municipality’s commitment to visitor safety through an integrated marine rescue system. The beach has been equipped with lifeguard towers, specialised rescuers and modern rescue tools, first-aid supplies and life buoys, ensuring the highest safety standards for beachgoers.

Services for all community groups

He noted that all teams are operating under a well-designed plan that includes public safety units equipped with modern tools, along with clear beach signage to raise awareness and reinforce compliance with safety instructions.

The municipality has also provided high-quality services, including facilities adapted for senior visitors such as a floating chair, family seating areas and high-standard access pathways that cater to all visitor groups.

Al Shamsi confirmed that, in line with the municipality’s strategy for quality, excellence and sustainable services, all necessary facilities have been prepared for beach visitors, especially with the expected rise in numbers during the holiday period. Regular maintenance programmes are ongoing to enhance the tourist experience and maintain a safe, comfortable environment for all.

Public safety reminders

He concluded by urging all beach visitors to comply fully with the warning and guidance signs displayed along Al Hamriyah Beach in multiple languages, highlighting the importance of caution, especially during strong currents or adverse weather. He stressed avoiding swimming after sunset, supervising children at all times, staying within designated swimming zones and keeping away from high-wave areas or the beach when the red flag is raised. Public awareness and cooperation, he noted, are essential to ensuring everyone’s safety.
