Consultative Council marks Eid Al Etihad in Moscow celebration

The event was attended by His Excellency Dr Mohammed Ahmed Al Jaber, UAE Ambassador to Russia, along with a large gathering of representatives of governments, Russian institutions, friendly nations and resident communities.

Strong international presence

The ceremony witnessed a notable turnout reflecting the UAE’s distinguished status on the international stage. Senior Russian officials, ambassadors and diplomats, heads of international bodies and organisations, as well as members of Arab and foreign communities in Russia, all joined in extending their congratulations to the UAE on this cherished national occasion.

Message of pride from the Sharjah delegation

During the celebration, His Excellency Dr Abdullah Belhaif Al Nuaimi extended warm congratulations, expressing the deep pride felt by Emiratis celebrating Eid Al Etihad wherever they may be.
He emphasised that marking this occasion abroad carries added meaning, as it reflects the strong attachment of Emiratis to their national identity and their loyalty to their wise leadership.

Speaking at the event in Moscow, he said: “On this day, so dear to all our hearts, we raise our highest congratulations and blessings to His Highness the President of the UAE and Their Highnesses the Rulers of the Emirates, and we extend our heartfelt congratulations to the people of the UAE on this glorious day.”

Reflection of strong UAE–Russia relations

The significant attendance underscored the strength of relations between the UAE and Russia and the growing strategic partnerships between the two nations.

This progress has been supported by the efforts of Ambassador Dr Mohammed Ahmed Al Jaber, whose influential role has helped enhance bilateral ties, strengthen cooperation between the two friendly peoples and reinforce the UAE’s leading image in Russia and internationally.

 Al Nuaimi added: “Here in Moscow, as we celebrate Eid Al Etihad and join Ambassador Dr Mohammed Ahmed Al Jaber in this national celebration, we extend and receive congratulations for our leadership and our honourable people. We congratulate ourselves—whether in Moscow, the UAE or across the world—on the arrival of the 54th Eid Al Etihad.”

 He praised the tremendous efforts of the ambassador and the embassy team in organising the ceremony in a distinguished manner that reflects the UAE’s aspirations and its deeply rooted values of tolerance, openness and coexistence.

He noted that such events strengthen bonds among Emiratis abroad and present to the world the UAE’s pioneering model in building international relations and fostering communication among nations.

Council members’ attendance

 Members of the Consultative Council attending the ceremony in Moscow included Engineer Jameela Al Fandi Al Shamsi, Rashid Abdullah bin Howaiden, Amer Mohammed Al Zarouni and Mohammed Ali Al Mannaei.

They were accompanied by Dr Islam Al Shiwi, the council’s media expert from the General Secretariat.

 The ceremony concluded with an exchange of congratulations and a reaffirmation of the depth of UAE–Russia relations, as well as international appreciation for the UAE’s humanitarian and civilisational contributions.
