3x3 Youth Festival celebrates Eid Al Etihad

Sharjah 24: Al Hamriyah Cultural and Sports Club, in collaboration with the UAE Basketball Federation, organised a 3x3 Youth Festival on Monday, to mark the 54th Eid Al Etihad. Ten clubs participated, including Al Hamriyah, Al Wasl, Shabab Al Ahli, Sharjah, Mleiha, Khorfakkan, Al Madam, Al Jazira, Al Dhaid, and Dibba Al Hisn.

Attendance by senior officials

The festival was attended by His Excellency Hamid Al Shamsi, Chairman of Al Hamriyah Club’s Board of Directors; His Excellency Abdul Latif Al Fardan, President of the UAE Basketball Federation; Sultan Al Shamsi, Secretary General of Al Hamriyah Club; and Ali Al Amiri, Head of the Competitions Committee at the Basketball Federation.

Promoting patriotism and youth development

Hamid Al Shamsi highlighted that the festival was organised for young players to celebrate the national occasion, strengthen values of loyalty and patriotism, and instill a sense of national pride from an early age. Abdul Latif Al Fardan praised the club’s efforts, emphasising that celebrating Eid Al Etihad through sports fosters positive spirit and strengthens ties between state institutions and the sports sector.

Awards and festivities

The festival concluded with an awards ceremony honouring the winners. Al Hamriyah Club’s sports hall was filled with a large audience, creating an atmosphere of pride and celebration in honour of Eid Al Etihad.
