115 athletes compete in 54th Eid Al Etihad Shooting Championship

Sharjah 24: Ali bin Nouma Al Ketbi, Chairman of the Organising Committee for the 54th Eid Al Etihad International Air Rifle Shooting Championship, announced the launch of the competition at Al Dhaid Cultural and Sports Club. The event features 115 male and female shooters competing in air pistol and rifle categories.

Organised under Sharjah Sports Council patronage

Al Ketbi confirmed that Al Dhaid Club’s shooting range is hosting the championship, which is organised by the club under the patronage of the Sharjah Sports Council and supervised by the UAE Shooting Federation.

18 years of sporting tradition

He highlighted the club’s ongoing commitment to hosting this tournament for the past 18 years, contributing to the celebratory atmosphere of the UAE’s 54th Eid Al Etihad. The championship includes 115 athletes across both pistol and rifle disciplines.

Regional participation and awards

Speaking to Sharjah 24, Al Ketbi noted that the athletes represent five teams from the UAE, Bahrain, Qatar, Oman, and Iraq. Prizes and medals have been designated for the winners, and he wished all participants success in their competitions.
