Syria defeats Tunisia in Arab Cup opener

Sharjah 24: The Syrian national team defeated Tunisia 1-0 in the opening match of the Arab Cup, held in Doha, Qatar. The match took place at the Ahmed bin Ali Stadium as part of Group A competition.

Match-winning goal

The only goal of the game was scored by Omar Khribin in the third minute of the second half, securing the win for Syria.

Group standings update

With this victory, Syria earned 3 points in Group A, while Tunisia remains without points after their opening match.
