Sharjah Police honoured for future security media project

Sharjah 24: Sharjah Police received a special honour at the Association of Professional Futurists Awards 2025, after the force’s Future Foresight Centre took part with its project The Future of Security Media in the Practice & Applications category.

Achievement amid strong global competition

The award followed strong competition involving leading international foresight bodies. It also coincided with the UAE’s 54th Eid Al Etihad (National Day) celebrations and the designation of 2 December as World Futures Day, adding further significance to the achievement.

Commitment to innovation and readiness

Captain Hooria Al Zarouni, Director of the Future Foresight Centre, said the international recognition motivates continued efforts to use foresight as a key driver in developing and systemising security work and anticipating future challenges. She added that the award reaffirms Sharjah Police’s commitment to building an integrated system based on innovation and advanced analysis, supporting the force’s readiness and mission to enhance safety and stability in line with the UAE’s vision for shaping the future.
