Team relay events were held, featuring 12 matches in a wonderful spectator atmosphere, fuelled by the enthusiasm of the male and female players in the championship, whose champions will be crowned on the fourth and final day, Sunday, 14 December.
The third day’s events were attended by His Excellency Abdulmalik Mohammed Jani, Chairman of the Supreme Organising Committee of the championship; His Excellency Obaid Al Ghazawi, President of the Iraqi Paralympic Committee; His Excellency Farst Ibrahim, Vice President of the Iraqi Paralympic Committee; Her Excellency Noura Al Jasmi, President of the UAE Badminton Federation and Vice President of the Organising Committee; Salem Al Mazrouei, Vice President of the UAE Badminton Federation and General Coordinator of the championship; and Bakheet Saeed Al Qers, Championship Director, alongside the heads of the various committees.
The third day’s matches saw the UAE and Egypt qualify for the quarter-finals of the championship.
The results were as follows:
Germany defeated Australia 60–35; Nigeria defeated Bulgaria 60–50; Indonesia defeated Germany 60–56.
China defeated Egypt 60–49; Hong Kong defeated Bulgaria 60–37; Brazil defeated the UAE 60–58; China defeated the Netherlands 60–29; Indonesia defeated Australia 60–47; the UAE defeated Azerbaijan 60–40; Egypt defeated the Netherlands 60–47; Hong Kong defeated Nigeria 60–53; Brazil defeated Azerbaijan 60–29.
