The meeting concentrated on exploring ways for cooperation, coordination, and the sharing of expertise, as well as strengthening collaboration, further improving performance, increasing awareness of safety and security procedures, and delivering the best possible services to the residents of the Emirate of Sharjah.

Providing high standards services

His Excellency Abdullah Abdulrahman Al Shamsi, Director General of SEWA, explained that the visit aligns with strengthening communication and integration among various local institutions and departments, in line with the vision and directives of His Highness Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah. He emphasised that SEWA is eager to activate its strategic partnership with the Sharjah Civil Defence Authority and to collaborate in achieving the Emirate of Sharjah's goal of delivering services to high standards and specifications. He noted that joint efforts and the exchange of expertise contribute to service development and improved performance. During the meeting, focus was placed on ongoing coordination and cooperation to raise awareness of safety and security procedures, tackle illegal connections, and establish a communication system for necessary situations to serve the public interest.

Enhancing strategic partnership

His Excellency Brigadier General Yousef Obaid bin Harmoul Al Shamsi, Director General of the Sharjah Civil Defence Authority, affirmed that the Authority recognises the vital role of SEWA, its departments, facilities, and employees. He added that SEWA is dedicated to ongoing communication and works to find the best ways, means, and procedures to foster joint cooperation. He also mentioned that meetings and the exchange of experiences are essential steps to strengthen the strategic partnership between the two parties, deepen the commitment to working as a unified team—especially during emergencies—and raise awareness among community groups about the importance of adhering to security and safety procedures.

The visit is part of Sharjah Civil Defense Authority’s strategy to provide security and safety, maintain public trust, raise community awareness, and collaborate with partners.
