Sharjah Municipality call centre responds to rainfall reports

Sharjah 24: The Sharjah Municipality’s call centre, reachable at 993, was placed on high alert to manage public reports and concerns during the recent weather system and rainfall affecting Sharjah and the wider UAE.

Operating 24/7, the centre handled 522 reports of water accumulation and 7 reports of fallen trees, all of which were promptly forwarded to field teams for resolution.

Enhanced operations for efficient response

During the weather event, the call centre introduced a dedicated number to receive reports from the Sharjah Police General Command regarding water accumulation, as well as a separate line for field teams to coordinate directly. These measures improved the speed, efficiency, and quality of the centre’s response efforts.
