Sharjah24: Arsenal booked their place in the semi-finals of the English League Cup after defeating Crystal Palace 8–7 on penalties following a dramatic 1–1 draw in regulation time.

The Gunners looked set for victory when they took the lead in the 80th minute through an own goal by Palace defender Maxence Lacroix, who inadvertently diverted the ball into his own net under pressure.

Guéhi forces penalties with last-gasp equaliser
