Sharjah24: Sharjah Department of Human Resources (SDHR) held a coordination meeting to review and enhance its electronic records management system, as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen records governance and advance digital workflows within the department.

The meeting brought together representatives from the Records Office, the Information Technology Department at SDHR, and the Electronic Records Section at Sharjah Archives. Discussions focused on monitoring recent developments in the organisation and management of electronic records within the department.

Enhancing integration and efficiency

Participants reviewed key recommendations on electronic records and updated and assessed data and information related to current workflow studies, in line with emerging technological developments and approved requirements. The meeting also explored the electronic systems currently in use and examined available mechanisms for organising and managing digital records, with the aim of enhancing system integration and improving overall efficiency in records management.

Supporting institutional sustainability

The meeting is part of SDHR's ongoing efforts to promote institutional integration and refine the regulatory procedures governing electronic records. These initiatives align with recognised best practices in records governance and contribute to strengthening institutional sustainability, improving performance quality, and supporting the emirate’s broader digital transformation objectives.
