Sharjah24: Sharjah Police, represented by the Security Media Department and the Traffic and Patrols Directorate, organised the “Road Star” initiative in collaboration with ADNOC Distribution, as part of the “Winter without Accidents” campaign. The initiative aims to promote positive traffic behaviour and encourage drivers to comply with traffic laws and regulations, contributing to enhanced road safety levels across the Emirate of Sharjah.

Senior officials attend the initiative

The initiative was attended by Captain Hamid Al Rais, Head of the Traffic Awareness Section at Sharjah Police; Mohammed Al Sunaidi, Key Accounts Manager at ADNOC Distribution; and Khalifa Al Kaabi, Key Accounts Manager at ADNOC Distribution, along with a number of specialised officials from both sides.

Strategic partnership supports awareness and accident prevention

The initiative included the honouring of 20 outstanding drivers who demonstrated exemplary commitment to traffic regulations. The recognition ceremony was held at Al Badi’ ADNOC Distribution service station in the Emirate of Sharjah. The drivers were selected from a random sample after verifying their records through the traffic system, which confirmed that no traffic violations had been registered against them. This recognition reflects appreciation for their adherence to traffic laws and road safety requirements and serves as motivation to continue such positive behaviour, thereby reinforcing a culture of traffic compliance within the community.

Sharjah Police stated that organising this initiative falls within the framework of the strategic partnership and institutional integration between Sharjah Police and ADNOC Distribution, reflecting the concept of community partnership and the pivotal role of national companies in the success of awareness initiatives and the promotion of road safety. The police further emphasised that incentive-based initiatives of this kind contribute to encouraging drivers to comply with traffic regulations and reducing traffic accidents, particularly during the winter season, which brings weather changes that require greater caution while driving to ensure the safety of all road users.
