Sharjah 24: Dr Ahmed Balboula, who recently won the Sharjah Prize for Arabic Poetry, shared his thoughts on the significance of Sharjah as a cultural hub. He emphasized that the city has a knowledgeable and appreciative audience that deeply understands Arabic poetry and culture. He also acknowledged the efforts of His Highness Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, who has created a center dedicated to Arabic poetry that serves as a source of inspiration across the Arab world.

In an interview with "Sharjah 24," Balboula expressed that receiving this honor from the ruler feels like a great responsibility, and it encourages him to be more creative. He mentioned that over 80 poets from different parts of the Arab world are participating in a friendly competition to showcase their best poems at the 22nd edition of the festival, highlighting the vibrant cultural scene that Sharjah uniquely offers.
