The event was attended by His Excellency Abdullah bin Mohammed Al Owais, Head of the Department of Culture; Mohammed Ibrahim Al Qasir, Director of the Department of Cultural Affairs; Mohammed Al Buraiki, Director of the Poetry House; and a number of poets, intellectuals, and poetry enthusiasts.
The air was filled with the fragrance of the verses, their essence carried on a gentle breeze, resonating with lovers of Arabic poetry. The evening garnered a warm response from the audience, as the words touched the hearts of those present.
Poet Jassim Al-Sahih opened the evening with his love poem, poet Muhammad Nazim then recited a poem expressing his longing and yearning, which he articulates and sings of in verses, poet Muhammad Dansoko then recited a poem entitled "A Stranger on the Margins of Return.”
Afterwards, the poet Hassan Amer read a poem of reproach followed by forgetfulness.
Poet Ali Dahini recited his poem entitled "The Memory of Rubble.”
Poet Iman Abdulhadi concluded the evening with a poem entitled "The Longings of the Slaughtered Metaphor."
In closing, Abdullah Al Owais and Mohammed Al Qasir, in the presence of Al Buraiki, honoured the participating poets by presenting them with certificates of appreciation in recognition of their creative efforts.
