In community interviews, the issue included several conversations, including a “To the Summit” interview with Dr Colonel Saeed Harib bin Dhahi Al Mansouri, who successfully combined field expertise with an academic path. Another interview in “Authentic Features” featured the elder Isaghir Saeed Ali Al Khasooni. In “Palm Keeper”, the magazine met elder Mihir Obaid Mubarak Al Ketbi, who spoke about the palm tree’s legacy and his research contributions. In “Engagement”, the issue met young falconer Ali Saeed bin Fadil Al Ketbi.
In “On the Road”, the magazine documented the journey through the valleys and plains of the central region when they fill with rainwater, introducing their routes, names, and environmental benefits. “In Focus” highlighted the efforts of the Sharjah Family and Community Council in the central region. “On Track” featured the passion of child Fahd Saeed Ali for table tennis. “Field” showcased the achievements of the swimming teams at Mleiha Cultural and Sports Club. The “Biography” section covered the life of the late Hamed bin Obaid Al Taneiji, along with a selection of articles and reports from the central region.

Issue 80 of Al Sharqiya magazine highlighted new cultural and tourism projects in Kalba and Khorfakkan announced in April by His Highness Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah. In Kalba, these include Al Marsh Square, Kalba Heritage Museum, The Pearl Theatre, Al Hiyar Lake, and “Above the Clouds” Rest House. He also confirmed that Khorfakkan, by virtue of its natural landscape, is well suited for outstanding future projects.
In community interviews, “To the Summit” featured Dr Abdulqader Al Houti from Kalba, who spoke about his academic and professional journey. “Authentic Features” met Khalfan Mohammed Khalfan Al Naqbi from the Al Luluayah area in Khorfakkan. In “Engagement”, Mohammed Hassan Al Matrooshi from Kalba shared his journey in honey harvesting, while Taqiyya Al Hamadi recounted her experience in education in “Educator of Generations”.
“In Focus” covered Khorfakkan hosting a regional marine robotics competition. “On the Road” visited Al Khubba Al Awdah area in Khorfakkan, known for its historic stone architecture. “Field” presented a report on Kalba Sports and Cultural Club, its titles and community initiatives. In “Path”, Aman Al Hamadi spoke about his upbringing in Khorfakkan, graduation, and work. “On Track” introduced Aisha Rashid Al Dhahouri from Dibba Al Hisn, a member of the Sharjah Children’s Consultative Council.
The issue also included several heritage articles, including a review of Features of Traditional Architectural Style in the UAE in “Authorship”, traditional children’s games in “Heritage Descriptions”, old neighbourhoods in “Memory”, and in “Biography” a profile of Ali Al Malih from Dibba Al Hisn, a scholar and community figure who left a positive legacy in his society.
