Sharjah24: Sharjah Learning Difficulties Center has concluded its 2025 National Awareness Campaign on Learning Difficulties, which ran for four months from September to the end of December 2025. The campaign achieved tangible outcomes in raising community and institutional awareness and reinforcing concepts of technological empowerment and effective inclusion through an intensive programme of activities across several emirates.

The campaign recorded strong engagement through 20 field visits to leading government entities and academic and educational institutions. These visits enabled direct dialogue with decision-makers and technical teams, facilitating knowledge exchange and the application of practical initiatives. Targeted sectors included legislative bodies, higher education, social services and school education, reflecting the Centre’s comprehensive approach to addressing learning difficulties.

Geographic expansion and strategic partnerships

As part of its geographic outreach strategy, the campaign covered Sharjah, Abu Dhabi and Fujairah. High-level visits included the Sharjah Consultative Council and Sharjah City Municipality, supporting the integration of learning-difficulty policies into government services. Academic visits included the University of Sharjah, Al Dhaid University, Kalba University and Higher Colleges of Technology campuses in Sharjah and Fujairah, focusing on inclusive university environments.

SNAP programme and field workshops

Dr Hanadi Al Suwaidi, Director of the Centre, said field visits included hands-on workshops introducing the SNAP programme as a reference tool for early diagnosis, enabling institutions to adopt standardised assessment tools and improve service quality.
