The evening featured six poets representing a wide range of geographical and cultural backgrounds: Arif Al Saadi (Iraq), Amal Al Sahlawi (UAE), Dr Osama Taj Al-Sir (Sudan), Mohammed Khudair (Jordan), Dr Hassan Abduh Samili (Saudi Arabia), and Ibrahim Abdel Karim (Chad). The session was moderated by Abdullah Abu Bakr (Jordan).
The participating poets presented texts rich in philosophical reflection, human values and social awareness. Their poems explored existential questions, identity, love, exile, resilience and humanity, highlighting the power of Arabic poetry to engage with contemporary issues while remaining rooted in classical eloquence and imagery.
The evening showcased a variety of poetic styles, from philosophically charged, symbol-rich texts to visually inspired, human-centred narratives. The poets demonstrated a strong command of language, vivid imagery and rhetorical craftsmanship, offering audiences a multifaceted poetic experience that celebrated both form and meaning.
At the conclusion of the evening, His Excellency Abdallah bin Mohammed Al Owais honoured the participating poets with certificates of appreciation for their creative contributions and their role in enriching the festival’s cultural programme.
