Sharjah24: Sharjah Education Academy welcomed 106 students to the Early Childhood Education Certification (ECEC) Programme at its new campus, as part of educational scholarships funded in collaboration with Invest Bank. The intake forms part of a wider initiative comprising 187 scholarships announced last year, aimed at preparing qualified teachers and teaching assistants in line with international best practice.

Co-inciding with the start of the new intake, the Academy organised an orientation session for scholarship recipients, introducing them to the programme’s structure and core focus areas. The session highlighted the programme’s role in strengthening professional capacities, pedagogical awareness, and the quality of learning experiences for young children.

International standards and local context

Accredited by the National Qualification Centre at the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, the ECEC programme is delivered in both Arabic and English. Developed in collaboration with the University of Helsinki HY+, it draws on Finland’s internationally recognised early education model and localises content to align with the UAE’s cultural and educational priorities.
