Al Hawami District Council holds first meeting, forms committees

Sharjah24: The Al Hawami District Council in Khorfakkan, affiliated with the Department of Districts Affairs, held its first regular meeting on Thursday. The meeting was chaired by Khamis Salem Muslam Al Naqbi, Chairman of the Council, and attended by Vice Chairperson Dr Amina Al Naqbi, along with council members and staff.

During the meeting, held at the Al Hawami District Council headquarters, members discussed several agenda items, most notably the approval of the formation of the council’s permanent committees. The step aims to enhance community engagement and improve the quality of services provided to residents of the suburb.

The Suburb Affairs Committee was approved under the chairmanship of Ali Yousef Ali Saqr Al Hammadi, with Abdullah Ali bin Aboud Al Naqbi, Talal Hassan Jalal Ahmed Al Naqbi and Nuaimi Ali Mubarak Al Shehhi as members. The committee will follow up on service- and development-related issues in the suburb.

Social and cultural initiatives

The Social and Cultural Committee was also approved, with Mohammed Abdullah Mohammed Al Jarrah Al Hammadi as chair, Abeer Ismail Ahmed Al Hosani and Abdullah Ali Mohammed bin Aboud Al Naqbi as members, and the aim of supporting social and cultural initiatives and strengthening community cohesion.
