Ghannam stated that the festival implemented a rich programme over three days, including theatrical performances, accompanying events, “The Secrets of the Craft” seminars, and a meeting of artists from various Arab countries. The event was held in cooperation between the Arab Theatre Authority and the Egyptian Ministry of Culture.
Ghannam added, in statements to Sharjah 24, that the forum’s events took place in five locations: the Adam Henein Hall at the Hangars, the Cairo Puppet Theatre, the Metropole Theatre, the Cultural Park, and Beit Al-Suhaymi.
He noted that the forum honored three prominent artists: Mohamed Keshk from Egypt, Abdel Salam Abdo from Palestine, and Qada Ben Smisha from Algeria.
He pointed out that the “Secrets of the Craft” seminars were a highlight of the forum, where puppeteers shared their experiences and the secrets that fueled their passion for the art.
He explained that artists from the UAE, Egypt, Morocco, Tunisia, Jordan, Palestine, Lebanon, and Iraq participated, united by their love for puppetry and dolls.
