Sharjah 24: The Sharjah Children’s Shura Council and the Sharjah Youth Shura Council held a procedural session organised by the Rubu' Qarn for Creating Leaders and Innovators under the theme “Community Service is Leadership.”

The session took place this morning, Sunday, at the Sharjah Consultative Council, and was attended by Sheikha Jawaher bint Abdullah Al Qasimi, Director General of the Rubu’ Qarn Foundation, along with a number of officials. The meeting focused on several community issues related to childhood, including national identity, family, and education.

Session highlights and attendance

Sheikha Jawaher bint Abdullah Al Qasimi attended the session alongside officials, marking the opening of the 18th session of the Sharjah Children’s Shura Council and the 9th session of the Sharjah Youth Council. The event was organised by the Rubu’ Qarn Foundation for Leaders and Innovators and held at the Sharjah Consultative Council.

Key topics discussed

Hamad Mohammed Ibrahim Al Hashemi, Chairman of the Sharjah Youth Council (9th session), stated that the meeting addressed several key childhood-related issues, including national identity, education, and family. The session also focused on selecting the theme for the upcoming meeting, which will be “National Identity and Family,” and discussions will further explore topics connected to this theme.

Council’s Role and Vision

Al Hashemi emphasised that the council serves as a genuine platform for expressing the voices of children and youth to decision-makers. This aligns with the vision of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, and his wife, Her Highness Sheikha Jawaher bint Mohammed Al Qasimi, Chairperson of the Rubu’ Qarn Foundation for Leaders and Innovators. Their vision supports children and youth by enhancing leadership capabilities and developing essential skills.
