The “Sharjah Children’s Platform” was launched in 2024 with the aim of providing an interactive, child-led environment that addresses diverse topics, including educational, cultural, and awareness-raising content, as well as aspects related to health and heritage, reflecting children’s interests and realities. These topics are presented through dialogues with experts that combine informative and engaging discussions.
In this regard, Khawla Sharif Al-Hawai, Director of Sharjah Children, stated that the platform represents an extension of the Foundation's efforts to empower children and develop their skills, particularly in the areas of speech, presentation, and content creation. She explained that the children's contributions on the platform are the product of specialised training programmes and courses they receive within the Foundation, which have boosted their self-confidence and honed their skills and ability to manage episodes efficiently and professionally.
Al-Hawai added that this platform aligns with the Foundation's focus on empowering children in the media, cultural, and educational fields through high-quality programmes that contribute to refining their skills and enhancing their awareness, especially in light of the rapid transformations witnessed in new media, which has become an essential part of daily life. This makes empowering children in this field crucial for building a generation capable of consciously engaging with digital content and crafting effective media messages.
Al-Hawai noted that the platform has garnered over 145,000 views in its previous seasons, reflecting the positive interaction with its content and confirming its success in presenting a media model that represents children and addresses the community with an accessible and purposeful approach that combines simplicity with an educational message. Al-Hawai affirmed that the foundation continues to develop its programs to support children's abilities and keep pace with their interests, in line with its vision to prepare a conscious generation capable of contributing effectively to society.
It is worth noting that the "Sharjah Children's Platform" episodes are broadcast on the foundation's social media platforms @shjchc, with a duration ranging from 15 to 20 minutes, as part of a media experience that enhances the child's presence as an active participant in content creation and strengthens their presence in the contemporary media landscape.
