Sharjah Awqaf expands “Tabreed” initiative

Sharjah24: In a move reflecting its commitment to strengthening endowment initiatives with social impact, the Department of Awqaf announced the expansion of its “Tabreed” initiative by opening a new branch in Khorfakkan, in addition to its existing branch in Muwailih, building on the successes achieved since its launch in 2020.

The initiative is implemented in collaboration with the Sharjah Centre for Voluntary Work, with volunteers distributing ice and water to labourers across various areas of the Emirate of Sharjah, promoting the values of giving and social solidarity.

This expansion aligns with the Department's strategy to develop endowment initiatives that meet the needs of the community, thereby expanding the base of beneficiaries and maximising the initiative's humanitarian impact across the Emirate.

It is worth noting that the “Tabreed” initiative won third place in the 2022 Sharjah Award for Voluntary Work, recognising its community role and outstanding humanitarian impact.
