Department of Awqaf expands mobile water unit initiative

Sharjah24: The Sharjah Department of Awqaf announced the expansion of its mobile water unit initiative, which aims to provide chilled water to workers at construction sites across the emirate. The expansion follows the initiative's success and responds to rising demand.

This expansion follows the initiative's initial launch with a single vehicle, which proved effective in meeting the needs of a wide segment of workers. With the addition of the new vehicle, the initiative will be able to extend its field reach and serve a larger number of beneficiaries more efficiently and quickly.

Instilling the values of solidarity and giving

The initiative continues its daily operations, except on Fridays, in cooperation with the Sharjah Centre for Voluntary Work. Volunteers distribute water at work sites using fully equipped and sanitised vehicles.

The Department of Awqaf affirmed that this expansion embodies its mission to instil the values of solidarity and giving and to promote endowment initiatives that meet the community's needs, especially those of those working in the field. The department also commended the vital role volunteers play in the initiative's success and sustainability.
