Sharjah24: As part of its efforts to integrate sport and education, Sharjah Women’s Sports announced a strategic partnership with the Sharjah Private Education Authority (SPEA) for the second International Scientific Sports Conference, “Ta’allaq 2026”, which will be held on 7 February 2026 under the theme “Integrating Movement into Education.” The conference is part of the events accompanying the eighth edition of the Arab Women’s Sports Tournament.
This partnership underscores the role of the “Ta’allaq 2026” conference in supporting its mission by extending the impact of sports competitions beyond the playing field to a broader sphere focused on holistic human development. This is achieved through a scientific and practical approach that links physical activity with learning, holistic health, and the quality of school life, particularly in the early grades (grades 1-4), where children's first habits are formed and their levels of concentration, motivation, behaviour, and academic achievement are influenced by daily activity patterns.
The collaboration with SPEA adds a practical, implementable dimension to the conference's themes by directly linking the scientific presentations to the school environment and enhancing the reach of its outcomes among the targeted educational groups in the emirate's private schools.
As the supervisory body for more than 130 private schools in the Emirate of Sharjah, SPEA broadens participation by activating its educational channels to invite schools and relevant educational groups. This ensures high-quality attendance from school leaders, teachers, curriculum and sports activity specialists, and members of academic councils, and supports the application of the conference's outcomes to meet each school's specific needs.
Regarding this partnership, Her Excellency Hanan Al Mahmoud, Vice President of the Sharjah Women’s Sports, stated that the partnership with SPEA is a pivotal element of the “Ta’allaq 2026” conference. She emphasised that translating scientific outcomes into tangible impact within schools requires educational partnerships that bridge the gap between academic discourse and practical application.
Al Mahmoud added that this partnership ensures the conference's ideas reach relevant stakeholders within the school environment and paves the way for their systematic and sustainable implementation, thereby enhancing the conference's effectiveness and moving beyond theoretical discussion to actionable outcomes.
In this context, Her Excellency Dr Muhadditha Yahya Al Hashemi, Chairperson of SPEA, affirmed that the partnership with the Sharjah Women’s Sports Foundation for the “Ta’allaq 2026” conference aligns with the Authority's commitment to supporting initiatives that enhance the quality of education and the balance of the school environment. She highlighted the importance of integrating physical activity into education, which contributes to improving student health and raising levels of interaction and focus within classrooms. She added that the Authority will support the participation of relevant educational groups and follow up on the utilisation of the conference's outcomes to enhance educational practices within schools.
For its part, the Sharjah Women's Sports Foundation, through “Ta’allaq 2026”, continues to strengthen its approach to transforming scientific knowledge into practical tools and building effective institutional partnerships that ensure the sustainability of the impact and support the development of more balanced educational models that integrate education, health, and physical activity within a practical and adaptable framework in schools.
