Preparations are complete for the 10th Xposure kick-off at Aljada

Organised by the Sharjah Government Media Bureau, Xposure 2026 will run from January 29 to February 4 under the theme “A Decade of Visual Storytelling”, marking ten years since the festival’s inception. Al Ghafli said the milestone edition reflects the festival’s evolution into a global platform for photography, film, and visual narratives.

Visitor-focused and immersive programme

Speaking to Sharjah24, Al Ghafli explained that this year’s edition places a strong emphasis on the visitor experience, from arrival to departure. The festival features an expanded visual footprint, immersive experiences across five distinct visual worlds, and Athens, the capital of Greece, as Guest of Honour. Greek participation includes five dedicated exhibitions highlighting contemporary Greek visual culture.

Global platform for creative exchange

Al Ghafli noted that Xposure has become an international meeting point for photographers, visual artists, and content creators worldwide, offering a dynamic space to exchange expertise, showcase creative journeys, and explore the power of imagery as a tool for dialogue and cultural understanding.

She added that the festival embodies Sharjah’s vision of supporting creativity and knowledge and reinforcing the role of visual arts in human expression and cross-cultural exchange.
