Sharjah 24: Dr Issa Al Hammadi, Director of the Educational Centre for Arabic Language for GCC States, announced that the 8th International Arabic Language Conference has attracted participation from more than 24 countries, showcasing leading practices in the teaching and learning of Arabic under the theme “Creativity in Arabic”.

Speaking at the conference, which opened on Wednesday in Sharjah, Dr Al Hammadi said the event brings together senior educational leaders from member states to review successful approaches to developing Arabic language education and strengthening its role within national education systems.

In remarks to "Sharjah 24", Dr Al Hammadi explained that the conference aims to serve as a platform for the exchange of expertise and practical experience by bringing together specialists, academics, and regional and international institutions. Alongside the conference, Dr Al Hammadi announced the holding of eight specialised training workshops that focus on modern methods to advance Arabic language education.

The opening session reviewed the efforts of ministries of education in member states of the Arab Bureau of Education for the Gulf States to enhance the teaching and learning of Arabic. Representatives from the ministries of education in Qatar, Oman, and Kuwait attended the session.

The conference continues over two days at the headquarters of the Educational Centre for Arabic Language for GCC States at University City in Sharjah.
