Sharjah 24: Alya Al Suwaidi, the Director of the Sharjah Government Media Bureau, shared insights about the recent Conservation Summit held during the 10th edition of the Xposure International Photography Festival. This year's theme, "Water in Crisis," encouraged participants to explore a pressing question: how can we turn our knowledge of environmental issues into real action to protect our planet?

In an interview with “Sharjah 24,” Al Suwaidi highlighted that the summit featured 140 powerful photographs that bring attention to the state of our environment. She pointed out some important facts, like how our oceans absorb more than 90% of the extra heat from climate change and nearly 30% of the carbon emissions we produce. However, these vital water bodies face serious challenges, including pollution, overfishing, and harmful industrial practices.

Al Suwaidi concluded by expressing her gratitude to all the participants, those who care about environmental issues, and everyone who contributed ideas, effort, or photos to promote the message of protecting nature. She emphasized that working together is the best way to create a more sustainable future for our planet.
