Sharjah 24: Simon King OBE is a renowned wildlife filmmaker, a three-time Emmy winner and multiple BAFTA recipient, who recently spoke at the Xposure International Photography Festival about his incredible journey in natural history storytelling that spans over 45 years. In his talk, titled "Life in the Wild," he shared his experiences, from his first encounters with animals to the groundbreaking techniques that helped create some of the most memorable moments in television.

He has worked in diverse environments across four continents, sharing fascinating stories about the animal world, including some close calls he's experienced, and his deeper thoughts on what it means to film wildlife.

For King, nature is not just a job; it's an essential part of his life. He emphasizes that no matter where he is, he feels a strong connection to the natural world. His experiences have taught him humility and reinforced the idea that human life is intertwined with all living things on Earth.

In an interview with "Sharjah 24," King encouraged people to notice and appreciate the little things around them, whether it’s a pigeon soaring in the sky or a plant growing through a crack in the pavement. He believes that taking time to observe these details can deepen our understanding of the world we share.
