Starting her athletic journey early, Zainab joined the UAE national team at age 15 in 2018. Before specialising in fencing, she explored swimming, horseback riding, and other sports, building a strong physical foundation and instilling discipline and commitment. She eventually chose fencing for its focus, precision, and mental challenge.

Her participation in Sharjah 2026 continues her career trajectory, providing exposure to diverse Arab fencing styles.
