The event was attended by the festival director, poet Batti Al Mazloom, and featured contributions from several male and female poets.
The evening, hosted by Saad Al Qamzi, opened with a reading by Emirati poet Al Maidiyah (Riana Al Oud), who presented a poem expressing pride and admiration for the nation and its wise leadership. She also performed a poem notable for its strong musical rhythm, verbal adjacency, and similar letters, titled “Mutrafat Al Jin”.
Kuwaiti poet Eid Bin Shuraim read verses praising Sharjah and maternal devotion. He also shared several shalat in the form of advice and supplications.
The third reading was by Omani poet Nawaf Al Shiadi, who recited poems praising the UAE. He also included works with emotional and social dialogues, as well as poems offering guidance and advice.
Iraqi poet Abdullah Ayed Al Shammari read romantic poems, depicting emotions and heartfelt wishes. In his poem “Ra’i Al Barq’a”, he illustrated the expressive power of the eyes and personal feelings.
Saudi poet Khawafi explored social themes in her poetry, advocating values of loyalty through gentle reproach, as exemplified in her poem “Al Khiyana” (Betrayal).
Finally, Yemeni poet Balqis Sarhan (Milyon Al Ansi) presented poems praising the UAE and Sharjah, and also recited a piece reflecting on the fate assigned to each individual.
