SDPW, Sharjah Municipality inspect pump factory in Vietnam

Sharjah24: A delegation from the Services Department at Sharjah Department of Public Works (SDPW) and Sharjah Municipality visited the Ebara pump factory in Vietnam to conduct factory acceptance tests for components of the Middle Line project for rainwater and groundwater drainage.

The delegation met with their counterparts at the factory as part of a series of technical procedures to ensure the highest quality standards in project implementation. They observed tests of the pumping stations to verify that the pumps’ manufacture and performance met approved designs and engineering standards.

Ensuring global best practices

The visit is part of the department’s commitment to applying international best practices in infrastructure projects and enhancing the efficiency of rainwater and groundwater drainage systems across the emirate. The initiative aims to improve network readiness and the quality of services provided to the community.

Advanced technologies for major pipeline

The Middle Line project is progressing using advanced technologies, with pipelines measuring three metres in diameter and extending more than 20 metres below ground. The system is designed to ensure efficient drainage in densely populated areas and to support the sustainability of rainwater infrastructure.
