Sharjah24: Maryam Thani, Head of the Exhibitions Committee at Sharjah Heritage Days, said the 23rd edition of the event offers visitors a renewed experience through a range of local and international exhibitions.

She explained that the festival is hosting a Tea Culture exhibition from the People’s Republic of China, offering visitors a live tasting of different tea varieties. The event also features the Hunan exhibition, which showcases selected museum artefacts.

Thani added that the “Illuminations on Wood” exhibition is being presented in collaboration with French artist Jean Borek, showcasing a collection of his handcrafted works. The artist demonstrates wood-carving techniques, allowing visitors to explore his creative process and his artistic pieces.

Student projects and heritage collections

She noted that the local exhibitions hosted this year, in cooperation with the University of the Arts, include the “Kashtat” exhibition, which presents a selection of student graduation projects. Another display features private museums affiliated with the Sharjah Institute for Heritage, showcasing items from their collections and offering visitors a glimpse of these unique artefacts.
