Sharjah24: Dallas Mavericks’ struggles continued as they fell 111-122 to the Minnesota Timberwolves, marking their tenth consecutive defeat—their worst streak since 1998. Anthony Edwards starred for Minnesota with 40 points, while French centre Rudy Gobert added a double-double with 22 points and 17 rebounds.

Mavericks almost mount a comeback

 

Despite trailing by 18 points in the second quarter, Dallas briefly equalised at 103-103 with less than seven minutes remaining. Edwards then dominated the closing minutes, scoring 14 points in the final quarter to secure the win.

 

Standings impact

 

Minnesota earned their eighth win in 11 games, rising to sixth in the Western Conference. Dallas remains 12th, struggling without rising star Cooper Flagg due to a foot injury.
