Concern over Iraq’s submission to the UN

In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) stressed the importance of Iraq considering the fraternal and historic ties between the two nations and their peoples.

The Ministry urged that the matter be addressed responsibly, in line with international law, the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea (UNCLOS) of 1982, and existing bilateral agreements, memoranda of understanding, and understandings.
