The initiative supports recently inaugurated development projects in Al Dhaid City and the Fili area, opened by His Highness Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah. Held under the theme “Ramadan Spirit in the Heart of Sharjah,” the festival runs until 25 March and coincides with the UAE’s ‘Year of Family’.
Souq Shari’at Al Dhaid recently hosted the launch of the “Young Influencer” event, which drew strong family participation. Children provided live coverage of the festival through on-the-spot filming, spontaneous interviews, and heritage-themed quizzes, alongside interactive entertainment and prize giveaways.
Aisha Saleh, Director of the Festivals and Promotions Department at SCCI, said the events aim to stimulate commercial and tourism activity in Sharjah’s Central Region and reinforce its cultural identity. Amal Al Hosani, Head of Media and Marketing at SCCI and Chair of the festival’s Media Committee, noted that the programme integrates younger generations into heritage initiatives and enhances their communication skills.
Organised in collaboration with key partners, including the Sharjah Commerce and Tourism Development Authority and Al Wusta TV, the events feature major prizes, including two Nissan Patrol SUVs and cash rewards. Shoppers receive one raffle coupon for every AED 100 spent, with grand draws scheduled for 22 March at Souq Shari’at Al Dhaid and for 23 March at Fili Heritage Souq.
The initiative also includes the “Best Festival Coverage on Instagram” competition, environmental workshops, interactive sessions, and heritage-inspired activities, all running until 23 March 2026.
