The competition is overseen by Tawfiq Tawfiq Ali Mustafa, Imam of Zaid bin Haritha Mosque in Al Hamriyah.
A total of 30 participants are taking part in the competition, which aims to encourage Quranic talents to memorise the Holy Quran and perfect its recitation, whilst strengthening the connection of youth with the Quran through understanding, reflection, and practice.
Organisers noted that the initiative helps foster a generation dedicated to religious and moral values.
Imam Tawfiq Tawfiq Ali Mustafa expressed his appreciation to Al Hamriyah Club and Al Hamriyah Municipality for launching the competition, noting that it helps highlight Quranic talents and encourages participants to master recitation and reflect on the meanings of the Holy Quran.
Meanwhile, Maitha Al Mehairi, Workshops Coordinator for “Ramadan Al Hamriyah”, stated that the competition emphasises the importance of strengthening commitment to Islamic values and reinforcing the role of the Holy Quran in daily life.
She stated that the Quran is essential in developing balanced and prosperous personalities in young people.
