The inmates completed an intensive three-week training course. The graduation ceremony was attended by Mr. Alexander Charles, General Manager of After-Sales Services at Al Kindi Auto, as part of a joint initiative aimed at developing their technical skills and enhancing their readiness for reintegration into the job market.
Colonel Abdullah Mohammed Al Muhayyan, Deputy Director of the Correctional and Rehabilitation Institution, emphasised that the specialised programmes are part of the institution's strategy to empower inmates professionally and equip them with practical skills that contribute to their effective and sustainable social reintegration. He noted that partnerships with private sector institutions are a fundamental pillar in supporting rehabilitation and reform programmes.
The programme included practical and theoretical training in the fundamentals of vehicle maintenance, fault diagnosis, and the use of workshop tools according to best practices, along with adherence to occupational health and safety requirements, all under the supervision of specialised trainers and technicians. This contributed to raising the trainees' efficiency and qualifying them according to approved professional standards.
At the end of the programme, the graduates were honoured and presented with certificates of completion in recognition of their efforts and active participation.
