UAE President, French defence minister discuss regional security

Diplomatic greetings

The French Minister conveyed President Emmanuel Macron’s greetings and wishes for the UAE’s continued security and prosperity. His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed returned the greetings, wishing progress and prosperity for France and its people.

Strengthening defence ties

The leaders discussed bilateral cooperation and coordination in defence affairs, reaffirming their commitment to enhancing ties under the framework of the UAE-France Strategic Partnership.

Regional developments and security

The meeting also addressed Middle East developments amid ongoing military escalation, emphasising its serious implications for regional and international security and stability. Her Excellency reiterated France’s condemnation of Iranian terrorist attacks in the region and expressed full solidarity with the UAE, supporting all measures to protect its security and the safety of its people.
