France defeats Colombia in World Cup warm-up match

France, the World Cup runners-up, secured their second friendly victory on their US tour, defeating Colombia 3-1 with a reserve squad. Désiré Doué scored twice in the match, which took place in Landover, Maryland.

Coach Didier Deschamps' team entered the match after a 2-1 victory over Brazil on Thursday in Foxborough, Massachusetts. On Sunday, they achieved their fourth win against Colombia in five encounters, having previously lost a friendly 2-3 to the Colombians in March 2018.

Les Bleus are preparing for next summer's World Cup, which will be held in the United States, Canada, and Mexico. They will compete in Group I alongside Senegal, Norway, and the winner of the intercontinental play-off between Iraq and Bolivia.

Colombia, on the other hand, plays in Group 11 with Portugal, Uzbekistan and the winner of the international play-off between DR Congo and Jamaica.
