Lautaro Martinez scored twice for Inter in the 1st and 52nd minutes, Hakan Calhanoglu in the 45+2 minute, Marcus Thuram in the 55th, and Nicolo Barella in the 63rd. For Roma, Gianluca Mancini scored in the 40th minute, and Lorenzo Pellegrini in the 70th.

Inter Milan, returning to winning ways after two draws and a defeat, increased their points tally to 72, maintaining their top position and opening up a nine-point lead over second-placed AC Milan and a ten-point lead over third-placed Napoli.

Meanwhile, Roma stay on 54 points in sixth place.
