Como rout Torino in dominant display

Sharjah 24 – AFP: Como continued their impressive Serie A campaign with a commanding 6-0 victory over Torino in Matchday 22, moving closer to the top four of the standings.

Six-goal showcase

Como’s goals came through Anastasios Dovikas, who scored twice in the 8th and 66th minutes, Martin Baturina in the 16th minute, Lucas Da Cunha from the penalty spot in the 59th minute, and substitutes Nicolas-Gerrit Kuhn and Maxence Cacoure in the 70th and 76th minutes respectively.

Fabregas’ side climbs the table

The win marked Como’s second consecutive victory and their 11th of the season from 22 matches. Cesc Fabregas’s team temporarily climbed to fifth place with 40 points, pending the outcome of Sunday’s clash between Juventus and Napoli.

Torino’s struggles continue

Torino remained in 15th place with 23 points after suffering their 11th defeat of the season, alongside six wins and five draws.

Lazio held by Lecce

In another Matchday 22 fixture, Lazio were held to a goalless draw by Lecce. The result was Lazio’s eighth draw of the season, leaving them ninth with 29 points, while Lecce extended their winless run to seven matches and stayed 17th with 18 points.
