Sharjah 24: Shabab Al Ahli were crowned UAE Men’s Basketball League champions for the 16th time in their history after defeating Al Nasr 88–77 in the second leg of the final, held, on Tuesday, at Rashid bin Hamdan Hall at Al Nasr Club, confirming their superiority following an 81–78 first-leg win last week.

Shabab Al Ahli dominated large parts of the match, finishing the first half 44–33 ahead. Despite Al Nasr’s attempt to narrow the gap in the second half, reducing it to five points (77–72), Shabab Al Ahli pulled away again to secure the victory.

The title takes Shabab Al Ahli’s tally to two trophies this season, following their earlier triumph in the UAE Federation Cup, the opening competition of the season, which they won against Al Nasr.

Following the match, Abdul Latif Nasser Al Fardan, President of the UAE Basketball Federation, in the presence of Major General (Ret.) Ismail Abdullah Al Qirqawi, Honorary President of the Federation, along with several federation and Shabab Al Ahli officials, presented the champions with the league trophy and gold medals.
