Dean of the College of Graduate Studies, Prof. Raafat El-Awady, described the forum as a bridge for direct engagement between the University and the wider community. He announced that UOS offered a 50 percent discount on application fees during the event as an incentive for prospective students, and reaffirmed the institution's commitment to connecting academic research with the real-world challenges faced by organisations and industries. Community partners also participated in presenting research projects that could serve as the foundation for innovative graduate theses.
The forum featured dedicated advisory booths staffed by representatives from key university offices, including the Registrar, the Finance Department, and the Office of Scholarships, all on hand to address visitors' questions about study plans, funding options, and available discounts. The University of Sharjah continues to be a steady pipeline of specialised talent for the labor market. In the 2024/2025 academic year alone, 690 students graduated from the College of Graduate Studies, further cementing the University's standing as a regional hub for academic excellence and scientific research.
