The decision covers the municipalities of Khorfakkan, Kalba, Dibba Al Hisn, Al Dhaid, Al Madam, Mleiha, Al Bataeh and Al Hamriyah, with the aim of unifying administrative frameworks and improving performance across the municipal sector.
Al Ketbi noted that the decision provides a clear roadmap for strengthening institutional integration and advancing municipal operations, transforming strategic plans into tangible development projects that serve citizens and residents and ensure a sustainable quality of life in Sharjah.
His Excellency Sheikh Engineer Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Qasimi, Director of the Department, highlighted that the new structures will enhance flexibility, streamline operations, and improve coordination among municipalities, thereby supporting sustainable leadership and development in the emirate.
Both officials expressed appreciation to the organisational structures committee of the Sharjah Government for its efforts in developing the updated framework, and praised its role in accelerating performance and improving municipal services.
