Sharjah reaffirms commitment to workers' safety

Sharjah 24: Colonel Dr Saeed Harib Al Mansoori, Deputy Director of the Preventive Accreditation and Training Department at the General Directorate of Prevention and Safety, Sharjah Police, expressed his pleasure at taking part in the International Workers’ Day celebrations, which fall on 1 May each year. This came during his visit to Kuwait Hospital in Sharjah, in collaboration with the Sharjah Municipal Affairs Department and the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation.

Proactive initiatives across the emirate

Al Mansoori told "Sharjah 24" that Sharjah Police are carrying out a range of proactive initiatives aimed at workers, including visits to hospitals, labour accommodations and workplaces across the emirate.

He explained that these efforts are part of a humanitarian approach designed to strengthen direct engagement with this vital segment of society, check on their health and wellbeing, and provide moral support.

Commitment to safe and healthy working conditions

He noted that these initiatives reflect Sharjah Police’s commitment to ensuring a safe and healthy working environment, safeguarding workers’ dignity, and improving their quality of life.

Al Mansoori stressed that appreciation for workers is not limited to an annual occasion, but is instead a sustainable approach that reflects humanitarian values and promotes a spirit of belonging and joint action towards a brighter and more sustainable future.
