Sharjah Public Prosecution celebrates Labour Day

The initiative was held in the spirit of the directives of His Highness Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and Chairman of the Judicial Council, whose emphasis on community-driven initiatives and human values has long set the tone for how institutions across the emirate engage with their workforce.

A day on Flag Island 

The event took place on Flag Island, where support staff were treated to a full day of leisure and entertainment. Amani Musallat, Director of Government Communication at the Sharjah Public Prosecution, oversaw the initiative, with employees from across the organisation joining in to make the day feel less like a formal event and more like a genuine celebration.

Football, food and enjoyable company

The programme included a mix of sporting and recreational activities, with football matches drawing plenty of energy and enthusiasm from the participants. The day wrapped up with a group dinner, bringing everyone together in a relaxed setting that had little to do with office hierarchies and everything to do with shared humanity.

Wider series of community efforts

The Sharjah Public Prosecution was clear that the event was not a one-off gesture. The initiative sits within a wider series of community efforts aimed at embedding a culture of respect and gratitude – not just for senior staff or those in visible roles but for every person who contributes to the institution's work. Workers left the day expressing genuine appreciation, and by all accounts, the feeling was mutual.
