Sharjah 24: Al Hamriyah Municipality honoured Yousef Abdulrahman Yousef Al Basri, a citizen of Bahrain, a member of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), in recognition of his courage, noble humanitarian initiative, and contribution to maintaining the safety and security of beachgoers. This recognition was given in appreciation of his heroic actions and effective cooperation with lifeguards and security personnel during a rescue incident that occurred while he was visiting Al Hamriyah Beach.

The municipality emphasised that the honour comes in appreciation of such commendable humanitarian acts that reflect the values of social responsibility and the spirit of cooperation. It praised his swift response and excellent handling of the situation, which contributed to supporting rescue efforts and maintaining public safety.

Establishing a culture of social responsibility

The municipality noted that such positive initiatives embody the highest ideals of courage and humanitarian action, and reinforce the importance of cooperation between community members and relevant authorities. At the conclusion of the ceremony, after honouring Mubarak Rashid Al Shamsi, Director of Al Hamriyah Municipality, Al Basri, the municipality expressed its sincere thanks and appreciation to Youssef Al Basri, stressing its keenness to recognise honourable role models who represent a good example in serving the community and promoting the values of cooperation and humanitarian giving.
