Dr Al Zeyoudi conveyed the greetings of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, and His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, along with their wishes for continued prosperity and development for Syria and its people.
President Al Sharaa asked Al Zeyoudi to convey his greetings to the UAE leadership, affirming the deep-rooted fraternal relations between the two countries and their shared commitment to sustainable development and progress.
The two sides, in the presence of senior officials including Noura bint Mohammed Al Kaabi, Dr Omar Al Derei, and Mohamed Alabbar, discussed ways to strengthen cooperation in trade and investment and support Syria’s economic recovery efforts.
Al Zeyoudi reaffirmed the UAE’s support for Syria’s economic recovery, highlighting the importance of building promising economic partnerships and expanding cooperation across key sectors.
The delegation included more than 140 participants representing government officials and private sector leaders from sectors such as trade, investment, energy, infrastructure, technology, agriculture, and transport.
Dr Al Zeyoudi also held bilateral meetings with several Syrian ministers to explore strategic cooperation in priority sectors and develop a roadmap for strengthening economic ties.
Non-oil bilateral trade between the UAE and Syria reached around US$1.4 billion in 2025, marking a 132.4% increase compared to the previous year, reflecting growing economic momentum between the two countries.
Dr Al Zeyoudi said the visit reflects the UAE’s commitment to supporting Syria’s recovery, noting strong prospects for expanding trade, investment, and joint projects that deliver sustainable economic benefits.
The visit also included participation in the First UAE-Syria Business Forum, which brought together officials and business leaders to explore trade opportunities and strengthen long-term economic partnerships between the two countries.
