Veteran goalkeeper Ochoa joins Mexico’s World Cup training camp

The 40-year-old is expected to be part of coach Javier Aguirre’s squad for the competition, which Mexico will co-host with the United States and Canada.

Ochoa described the camp as possibly his last, reflecting on his long career and expressing pride in continuing to represent his country.

If selected, he will join a small group of players to feature in six World Cups, having previously played in tournaments from 2006 to 2022. He has also hinted that the 2026 edition could mark the end of his international career.
